The Baofeng Pagoda, located on the Dawugang Mountain in Chancheng, is the highest point of the entire Taogu characteristic town. The tower is 57 meters high and has a reinforced concrete structure. It has seven outer floors and 13 inner floors. Each floor has a cloister. The shape is an octagonal pagoda with white walls and brown tiles and a pointed roof. The whole tower consists of four parts: base, base, tower body and tower brake.
Baofeng Pagoda, an important symbol of Shiwan’s history, was destroyed during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty.
One of the six ancient scenic spots in Shiwan, the “Pagoda Peak Sunset” has always existed in people’s mouth.
In 2016, based on the existing historical books and the multiple demonstrations of many ancient architecture experts, the reconstruction team found the base of the original Baofeng Tower and decided to rebuild the Baofeng Tower on the original base.
Climb to the top of the tower and have a panoramic view of Xinhuayi, Lvjing West Road, and Shisi Middle School.
The continuous stone steps from Baofeng Pagoda can directly reach the Dawugang Park at the foot of the mountain. Fengning Temple and Lianfeng Academy, both of which belong to the ancient six scenic spots of Shiwan, “Lianfeng Day Market”, are also under construction simultaneously, and will become The main components of the Dawugang Park are expected to be visible to the public in June this year.
The Baofeng Pagoda was completed majestically, and will become a shining pearl in Shiwan and Chancheng, guiding a new era of Chancheng in the future.
