Jiujiang double steamed liquor was founded in the early years of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty and has a history of nearly 200 years. Jiujiang is one of the famous ancient towns in Guangdong Province. It once flourished for a time in modern history. It is called “small Guangzhou” and is a monument to all people. Jiujiang’s wine is very famous. As the saying goes, “you don’t need apricot yellow to attract guests. Jiujiang has been a wine town since ancient times.” At that time, Jiujiang liquor making industry was developed, there were many wine shops and wine fragrance was all over the lane. Jiujiang was already a famous wine town in Qing Dynasty. According to the records of Jiujiang Township, the liquor making industry in Jiujiang Town at that time was unprecedented. There were wine shops in alleys and hotels in streets, and everyone talked about wine classics. During the reign of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty (1821-1850), Jiujiang Town developed its liquor industry. The wine made by “youlongxing winery” was the best and its popularity was greatly improved. The wine was fermented twice and steamed again. Qing Dynasty poet Zeng Shupin stopped “Jiujiang double steaming wine”, and his poetry flourished. He wrote a famous poem: “hang the rod and cloth the net in leisure, celebrate the double steaming and get drunk on the moon”. Mr. Kang Youwei’s teacher, Jiujiang scholar Zhu Jiujiang, is even more fond of his hometown wine, praising that he “enjoys the old Confucian wine and helps my cottage guests”. In 1952, with yongdexing as the representative, 12 distilleries, including Linong, Dade and Gongyuan, jointly formed “Jiujiang Liquor Association”, which gradually developed into today’s Jiujiang distillery. Jiujiang double steamed liquor has a long history of domestic sales and export. Jiujiang double steamed liquor is known as hometown water and hometown wine by foreign users, which fully reflects consumers’ recognition and love for the quality of Jiujiang double steamed liquor. Jiujiang distillery is also a Chinese time-honored brand, which has been fully affirmed by liquor customers.
