Bruce Lee paradise is located in Junan Town, Shunde, a provincial tourist resort with beautiful scenery. Bruce Lee’s ancestral residence is located in Shangcun, about 1 km away from the park. The park covers an area of nearly 3000 mu. There are 22 green hills surrounded by lakes, green trees, fresh air and quiet environment. It is far away from the noise of the city. It can be called the “paradise of the Pearl River Delta”.
According to the plan, Bruce Lee Memorial Hall will be the main project of the park, with a construction area of 5000 square meters. The memorial hall focuses on the exhibition and display of Bruce Lee’s life, martial arts, performing arts and family history. It is a Modern Lingnan residential style, and designs street scenes with the main film scenes played by Bruce Lee. The area, collection materials and supporting facilities of the memorial hall will surpass that of the Hong Kong Bruce Lee Memorial Hall and the US Bruce Lee Memorial Hall. An 18.8-meter-high granite statue of Bruce Lee will be placed in the park. The Tourism Department of Shunde said that the park will also promote the construction of Bruce Lee Conference Center, Bruce Lee civil and military school, mineral spring physiotherapy Resort Hotel, ecological wetland company and wetland research center, Chinese herbal medicine flower garden, silkworm mulberry fruit and vegetable garden, sports training field camp, self-help picnic camp and other facilities, so as to improve the overall supporting function of the project.
In May 2006, Shunde District launched the “Bruce Lee paradise” for publicity. As one of the ten new scenic spots in Shunde, the completed park will have a typical hilly landform in the south of the five ridges. The foundation of the Bruce Lee memorial hall marks the official launch of the integrated development of the tourism project of the park.
Shunde is the ancestral home of Bruce Lee. China’s first Bruce Lee Memorial in Daliang, Shunde, will be relocated and integrated into the new museum.
