Liang’s Garden is the general name of Liangshi garden in Foshan. It is one of the four major gardens in Lingnan and the representative work of Lingnan Garden. Liang’s Garden was built by four famous local poets, Liang Yiru, Liang Jiuhua, Liang Jiuzhang, and Liang jiutu’s nephew and uncle, in the years of Jiaqing and Daoguang (1796-1850 A.D.), lasting for more than 40 years. Liang’s Garden, together with Qinghui garden in Shunde, Yuyin mountain house in Panyu and Keyuan in Dongguan, are the four famous gardens in Guangdong in the Qing Dynasty, and also the representative works of Lingnan Garden. Not only that, Liang’s Garden also treasures Calligraphers’ legal stickers of all ages. Xiushui, Qishi and mingtie can be called “three treasures” of Liang’s Garden.
